Sandra has been sketching and painting ever since she can remember. She is a self-taught artist, originally from Cheticamp, Nova Scotia. She gives ‘thanks’ to her father who showed her how to draw their farm animals, and to her great-uncle (an artist himself) for teaching her about perspective and all the possibilities of color. She currently lives in South Rawdon, NS with her husband, John, having moved to their newly built hobby horse farm in the fall of 2011.
While she resided in Ontario, she competed in many art competitions in South Western Ontario and has been the recipient of many red ribbons and various awards for her art work. Two major events in London sought her talent – the London Health Sciences Centre Country Classic Auction and the Canadian Intensive Care Foundation – to aid in fund raising in the health care sector. Throughout the year, she works on commissioned pieces of art. A speciality is horse portraits. Her clients provide her with a picture(s) of their horse/pet and she creates a realistic portrait of the subject(s).

James Brown - Saddle Maker I have been working leather since the hippy days of the 1970"s building sandals , belts, vests, hats , case goods , guitar straps and many other custom goods. Buying most of my leathers back then from the big city of Montreal.
Things changed over time and in the late 1990"s I went west and studied saddle making in Alberta.
Then back to Nova Scotia I built and opened a Saddle Shop / Studio where I made western saddles, tack and everything horse and rider related, from chaps to spur straps and everything in between, doing lots of repairs on the way.
Presently still building saddles , doing repairs and making a lot of handbags , purses and commission work. Always designing & building new products and challenges , buying leathers, hardware and findings from around the world.
It's been quite a journey so far.

Retired after 31 years in local health care now spend my time between my new career with EXIT realty and catching up on my paintings. I have been sketching carving and painting for most of my life and am now making the time to satisfy my cravings for creativity. My most recent works are oil on canvas or hardboard.
Peter received his fine art degree from NSCAD in 2011, with a focus in both painting and photography. One invariably influences the other, landscape and macro nature shots can have an impact on compositional decisions in abstraction, with attention to depth, value and movement; or more directly as a guide for a representational work with a common theme, Nova Scotia’s stunning vistas.
